Somatic: relating to the body, especially as distinct from the mind
Self-defense: the act of defending oneself
Somatic self-defense: the practice of integrating a deep knowing that one is worth defending and having the tools to defend oneself internally and externally.

Self-offense is a proactive approach to self-defense rooted in the belief
“I am worth defending.”
Self-defense begins before a situation becomes physical. We have an opportunity to manage risk through cultivating an authentic relationship with our whole self, establishing core values, and having the ability to identify safe relationships through curating a healthy relationship with self.
What is Verbal Distance Management?
Verbal distance management focuses on strategies to identify and set boundaries.
Setting and upholding boundaries is a muscle, the more it is done, the more natural it becomes. A starting point to increase strength in our voice is to clearly identify our values. Values are the backbone to boundaries. Through identifying our values, we can confidently set and uphold boundaries from a place of high self esteem and clarity.
